Impact Performance of the Night: Dwyane Wade set the tone for the HEAT with 22 points on just 14 field goal attempts. Wade only got to the line twice, but he hit 10 of his 14 shots from the field. Wade also created for others, finishing with five assists.

The Deciding Run: After the two teams traded missed jumpers a quarter of the way through the third quarter, the HEAT went on a 10-0 run to pull away from the Nets. Dwyane Wade started it off with a layup and mid-range jumper, then Shane Battier and Mario Chalmers capped it off with back-to-back threes. The Nets never got closer than 14 points again.

Play of the Game: The HEAT set the fireworks off early when, just 38 seconds into the game, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James worked a little give-and-go leading to a Wade alley oop slam. James drew the lone defender and lofted a perfect pass to Wade, who flushed it down with authority.

Efficiency Rating: Offensive Rating: 117.0; Defensive Rating: 78.1

Trend to Watch: For the second straight game, the HEAT maintained their offensive production while shutting the opponent down. The Nets struggled to get anything going all game. The HEAT forced turnovers and held Brook Lopez to eight points. This game was a solid follow-up to the victory over the Suns on Monday.

The Takeaway: The HEAT were able to hold a team with a traditional center and All-Star point guard to an offensive rating of just 78.1. The Nets entered with a top-10 offense and I expected them to score more than they did. In back–to-back games the HEAT have delivered solid defensive performances. With the offense and defense clicking, the HEAT are ready to hit the road for a six-game trip.

Notes: LeBron James finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in just 30 minutes of action. Rashard Lewis scored 13 points off the bench, including four on a pair of dunks. In total, 12 HEAT players scored against the Nets. Terrel Harris and Dexter Pittman were inactive.

this was a great game to watch, if you're a heat fan, which i am. great game by wade it's great to see him being so explosive on offense. lebron was 2 assists away from a triple-double. that stinks. solid defense and amazing offense. now let's go beat atlanta.
