A lot of homer trades and freaking out over Howard which is obviously not gonna happen. Let's face it guys, if the Heat want to get someone who's gonna make a difference, they're going to HAVE to give up Winslow. Why? Because this isn't a fairy tale world where everything goes right for your team, you need to give up an asset with potential to acquire something of value NOW. You think offering Whiteside on a lease and McRoberts is gonna get us anybody? Stop kidding yourselves. We can't trade picks anymore, so what the f*** are we gonna give teams? It's gonna have to end up being Winslow, or else it's gonna be a minor trade at best.
Riley would do this trade below in a heartbeat and if you think otherwise you're fooling yourself. It's not a coincidence that he said he wants to win now in his interview at the Spurs game... plus Boogy Cousins isn't exactly just a move made for the now, since he's 25 years old and hasn't even hit his prime yet. Everybody in the league wants to acquire Cousins at this point.
that's why I think the howard trade makes more sense,
he is on the downside but may have something left.
So you send whiteside packed wit deng, mcbob ect....
and they send back howard, thornton ect...
You get a lot more for the trade and don't give your prized possessin winslow.
With the kings trade your risking everything for one player and if he doesn't work out
what you have to build with? no picks, and no winslow.
Just saying, a Houston trade makes more sense. Keep winslow if you can.
