Buyout "Chris Kaman, Ben Gordon, C. Villanueva, C. Butler"

The NBA trade deadline is approaching fast, which means teams are starting to hammer out strategies to adding players that can help in the postseason or dumping salary to free up cap space for the summer. The Miami Heat are sort of in both categories as they want to avoid the luxury tax as much as possible but are looking to add players to their roster.

According to Ira Winderman of the Orlando Sentinel, the Heat may look t the march 1st waiver deadline more than they’re looking at the February 20th trade deadline when it comes to adding key pieces for the postseason.

March 1st is the last date a player can be signed and be eligible for the postseason, which means the waiver wire will be filling up with players. The Heat added Chris Anderson at the deadline last year and he proved instrumental in bringing another title to South Beach.

Winderman speculates that the Heat will look at potential buyout candidates in Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva, Caron Butler and Chris Kaman.

Of course, these players have to be waived before they’re considered by the Heat, but it’s clear they want to add more pieces this year but just may not do so through a trade.

Out of those guys, Caron Butler is far and beyond the best option for us.

True but he's been injured and hurt a lot of the season. Although then again he wouldn't be playing all that much for us anyways...

What about bringing in Kobe..,

After thoughts adding another guard in to the rotation might be reasonable and a player like Kobe that would be so great….

The best that could happen here, with the current rooster that Lakers team has they not going to compete anytime soon and it be perfect situation for Kobe at this stage of his career and the heat.....

Wouldn't you add Kobe,... .it is an option, he is injured as of now but looking forward he be alright, wade is also not 100% as of yet he may have to sit out games but the point in this is we rolling we just have to make sure that come playoffs guys will all be healthy,... ......as for depth right now  adding Caron would be perfect as well as Gordon both are good option....!!!

Kamen and C. Villanueva are good option to bolster our front-court as well in fact any of this guys mentioned are good fit...

The only way Kobe can stay ahead of LeBron and Wade in the ring department is to join the Heat.

Villanueva is a softy, Chris Kaman would be okay, if the Lakers really think about releasing him....

Nah we already have our white big, and Kaman has no swag whatsoever to compete with Birdman. Kaman's a boring white boy and Birdman's a swag white. No space for two white big men on the same team, especially those without swag.

Well, we never know what could happen to Big Daddy Bron...

Butler is pretty much finished.  I think the Heat would love to add another wing defender but Butler hasn't played great defense in a while.

Gordon is a bit a of mystery to me.  Its like he just threw in the towel when he was traded to Charlotte.  You never know......get him in a new environment and he may be able to resurrect his career.  Even so I don't see a place for him on this team.  He'd have to earn time over Cole and I think Spoelstra would rather have defense than offense at that position.

It would be great to bring in Kobe to Miami so he can take 30-35 shot's a game and Lebron and DWade/Bosh and everyone else could be his sidekick! LOL! This cancer just destroyed his team demanding 30 mill a year despite being washed up and left no money to sign anyone else, sure he will be great in Miami-too many bath salt for some people!

Almost March 1, we'll know something soon enough. Hope RILEY/ARISON drops a gem on us once again...TEAM HEAT since '88!

Gordan didn't get traded from the Bulls. He left as a free agent to go to Detroit for more money. It's been down hill for him ever since.

I think Granger is the only player waived who has any value. But there is a half a dozen teams lined up already to sign him. I read that the Clippers already talked to him and SA and the Bulls along with 3 other teams also want him.
